How to stay awake without drinking coffee

Keep a bottle of water in hand and take frequent gulps of water to keep your body hydrated. Constant breaks to slosh down water and also relieve your bladder when it's filled up gives you a much-needed relief from work.

Turn up the music

Grab your headphones and tune in to your favorite music album the next time you feel drowsy at work. While you sing along or tap your feet to the beat of the song your body, your brain gets stimulated; this makes you stay awake and you also get a surge of energy.

Socialize

If you've been working all by yourself, boredom could easily set in making you feel drowsy and less than active. Engaging in easy conversation with a coworker could help you wake up your mind and distract you away from the thought of nodding off.
